Bikinis!

Today's blog post is on bikinis! I've bought three for my holiday which is more than enough for a week away. I've also been sticking to my New Years resolution to buy bright colours. Hope these give you a few ideas!

This first bikini is from eBay. It's a copy of a Victoria Secret bikini I've been looking at for a while. I also saw Carli Bybel (@thefashionbybel on Instagram) wearing it on her holiday and thought it looked beautiful. I find the colour pink pretty hard to pull off as I usually go pink on holiday but hopefully the bikini will still look nice because the material is almost iridescent. It's also padded which I prefer in both bikinis and bras. I love the detail of multiple straps and hopefully I won't get horrendous tan lines! I bought the bikini for £7 so I wasn't expecting it to be great quality but it seems to be all good. I'm not to sure about the gold piece on the front however it's only stitched on so would be easily removed. This bikini is really pretty.

The second bikini is from Primark! I bought it for £10! (£6 for the top and £4 for the bottoms) I love the crochet front and I know Topshop are doing similar and did do similar ones last year. I think the florescent coral colour looks so summery and on trend plus it will really compliment a tan. It's also really comfortable as the material is nice and stretchy and there's no underwire. It's really good quality for primark too!

I bought this last bikini from Dorothy Perkins. I couldn't resist this beautiful lavender colour I think it's so gorgeous. I also love that it's a triangle top bikini. I've wanted one for a long time but never felt comfortable to wear one without padding, nearly every one I've seen before hasn't had padding. However this one is amazing. It's padded and moulded really well and super comfy without an underwire. The ruffles also enhance the chest. This is the most expensive bikini at £26 (top £14 and bottoms £12) but really worth it as the materials great and I cannot wait to wear it!

Sorry I haven't been posting for the last few weeks I've started a new job and my sister has been in hospital but hopefully you enjoyed this post.

Topshop Skate Shoes

Today I recieved my Topshop TIKA2 Embossed Snake Skaters in pink and they are so cute! Really happy with this purchase. I had them delivered to store for free and they only took three days to arrive, a day less than they said! The pink is the same as shown on the website and I love the snakeskin effect. They're a little snug on my size 6 feet but they're elasticated so I'm guessing they'll stretch, similarly to how you have to break in new converse and vans. They're great value at £20 (£18 with a student NUS card). I'm going to pair these with jeans and pastel coloured Tshirts and vests. An OOTD will be up soon!

Hope you all love these as much as I do!

Favourite Foundations

I'm always looking for the best foundations, I don't think I've yet found the ultimate foundation but I'm pretty sure I'm close for my skin type. I have normal/combination skin, my T zone gets oily by the end of the day but generally my skin holds foundation well except on my chin where I get a lot of redness. Because of this redness I usually have to wear a medium/full coverage foundation or layer with a lighter foundation and concealer.

So here are my Top 3

First is Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. It has an SPF 10 and there's 30ml of foundation. This foundation is fantastic for girls who want full coverage flawless skin - I wear it on nights out or when my skin is breaking out. However it's pretty difficult to work with, you will get the hang of it because I did, you just have to work fast. I've been using this foundation for a few years now and also I always purchase a new one before I run out. They have a great range of colours and I'll soon be switching to a warmer shade as summer is coming up.  It just has a screw lid, no pump but this doesn't really bother me. It truly gives you perfect skin.

Secondly is MAC Face and Body. I love this foundation even though it completely contrasts double wear. It's very very very easy to work with, the liquid is thin and extremely blendable. I love the fact you get 50ml for £21.50, more than you get from double wear at a cheaper price (double wear is £28.50). You can layer this foundation and concealers blend really well when applied on top. Since this foundation is light your skin still looks like skin is also nice to mix with a moisturiser when you only want a tiny bit of coverage. I often wear this when I want natural looking make up.

Finally is my most recent purchase, Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. This foundation is a medium coverage but easily buildable. It sits nicely on the skin and makes your skin look really dewy. I think this will look great when the sun finally comes out and it also has SPF15. However if you are oily you might not get on so well with the foundation as I know with my T zone I have to powder throughout the day. The foundation is great for a glowy look and it's only £8.99 at Boots for 30ml. I love how mine feels and the look it gives but I don't think I've got quite the right colour as it has pink undertones, I generally look for yellow undertones as this suits me more when I fake tan as well as my skin naturally having yellow pigments in.

I tried Lo'real True Match when I first started using foundation however I'm thinking of buying a new one to see if the formula's changed/ their colours suit me better. What do you think of it?

Hope this was useful when searching for a new foundation.
